Hi everyone,
Just a quick update.  Financially things are looking a little better :)
I was able to purchase more internet access & today I am going to register my new business name :)
I will also be purchasing web space for my business website :)

Obviously things could be a whole lot better where working is concerned but I have to be grateful for what small pleasures & make the most of it :)
Stay tuned for more updates about my new business adventure.

I have been busy playing designing over the weekend & this is the finished product.

Home Tweet Home

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all having a great day :)

I have spent the last 24 hrs making another design to sell on Ebay.  I currently have a bid on one of my designs that I put on there a few days ago...so things are going according to plan :)  However, this one that I am about to show you, I would have to say is one of my favourites yet.  Of course, I have entered this design into a few challenges (which by the way are helping me with my mojo & inspirational creativity).  I had SO much fun creating this one.  Anyway, here it is:

~ Home Tweet Home ~

No matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to get really good photo's on any of my designs.  I think I will have to do some research on the net.

Here is what I did.  I put it up against white cardstock (behind it & below laying flat) & placed it on a chair in the sun.  I took photos using my digital camera with using the flash & some were taken in natural light.  They are still not coming out right.  What am I doing wrong?  Anyone with any ideas?  Please if you have any, the help would be very much appreciated, cos' the photo's are not doing my designs any justice at all.

I am entering Home Tweet Home into the following challenges:
Dutch Dare # 79 - Birdhouse (Thanks for the template:)
SP Color Combos # 52 - Pink, Moss & Burgundy
Charisma Cardz # 23 - Spots & Stripes
TSG Clear Stamps # 59 - Worn, Torn or Distressed
Kaboodle Doodles #33 - Dash of Purple
Cute Card Thursday # 116 - Anything but Square
Aud Sentiments # 4 - Hello Friend

I am still waiting on my order from Wild Orchid Crafts so I had to use my punch again.

Tools used:  Copics, chalks, Prima flowers & leaves, ribbon, Stickles, Zig pens, Carl & Paper Shapers - EK Success punch, and Fiskars Paper Edgers.

Oh nearly forgot, I used Eyelets too.  I haven't used those in a few years.

My Recipe:
DP: Mustard Moon, Bazzill & Doodlebug Design
Copics: R59 & 85

I don't have a bird stamp so with a lot of searching on the net yesterday, I finally found one.  I didn't quite achieve the finished effect with the bird that I wanted to but she looks alright for a first attempt lol.
.

There isn't much left that I can tell you other than Home Tweet Home will be on Ebay
& up for auction, so click here to make your bid :)

Thanks for visiting & have a great day everyone :)

Hugs

Princess Tilda is here :)

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month already since my last post.  I have been busy trying to organise myself & make money from home to start off my little Magnolia stamp & Copic collection.  Things are extremely tough, but I am doing my best to stay focused with my ultimate business goal.  Which I will tell you about shortly.

Last post I told you how it came about with my partner & I not working.  Money is extremely tight & things got alot worse for a while.

Did I tell you about my Daughter, Zoe, who is 10 years old & is a Type 1 Diabetic (insulin dependent)?
She has had this disease since she was soooo little at 3 yrs of age.  Anyway, she is my little Angel & I couldn't be more proud of how she looks after her Diabetes & for 7 years now all of her Dr's are extremely happy with her progress.  She is now on the Medtronic Pump & has been for the last 1.5 years which is alot better than having the 3 needles per day that she used to have to give her insulin.

Anyway, just a few weeks ago, my youngest Son Cory (who is 17) was rushed into hospital & diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes aswell!  He is ok.  He spent the week being treated in the hospital & was taught by the Educators & Dieticians on how best to cope with it & has to have 4 needles per day.  He doesn't live at home so fingers crossed that he will take care of himself.

I was more in shock & quite upset that two of my children now have Diabetes, however I have to admit, it was a little easier to deal with the 2nd time around as I already knew alot about the disease & how it needs to be treated.  I just hope that Cory will take the same attitude that I've administered to my Daughter all these years, that you have to treat your Diabetes as a friend, not the enemy or else it will just get mistreated & neglected.  We don't want that to happen!

Whilst I am on this subject, we sent an application for Zoe to go to the next Diabetes Camp for kids through the ages of 9 - 11 yrs.  Zoe received her letter the other day letting her know that she was accepted & is now eligible to go to the Diabetes Camp in July!  Woo hoo :)  She is SO excited.  She can't wait to go as the kids will be doing lots of fun stuff, like rock climbing etc...but the thing she loves the best is that the parents aren't allowed to go! lol.  Children only!  So she has 4 days & 3 nights without us there & to be amongst other Diabetic children around her age which I think will be a wonderful experience especially for her to see that there are alot more kids with the same disease & i'm sure she will learn alot more from them.  I'm just grateful that there will be Educators & Dieticians there lol.  She will be in fantastic hands.  Do you or any of your children have Diabetes?  What did you find the most challenging?

I guess this is turning out to be a longer post than I expected lol.  Good on you if you have reached reading this far :)  If you read my first post in May you would know that I got sexually assaulted at work.  Well not much is happening in that area at the moment, however my lawyer is now taking it further & we are waiting for a date to go to the Human Rights Commission.  I can't say too much but I will tell you that I am still seeing a Psychologist every week & dealing with the 'outfall' as it has effected me greatly.  I will get through it & just need this to finally be over so that I can put this all behind me.

So I have been keeping myself busy with working towards getting my new business up & running.  I'm not going to say what it is yet, but I will say, like many things in life, all choices normally involve money.  With that being said, due to no job, not being able to work & my partner not being able to get work (not for the lack of trying though), I am finding it REALLY difficult to get the money to enable me to get my new little business started.  However, remember I mentioned in my previous post that I was putting some of my stuff on Ebay to help me raise money to get my first Tilda stamp?  Well, I did :)  Actually, I have now got 2 Tilda stamps, ink & 10 Copics :)

So, to help me raise money to get my business name registered (which is the next step - cos I already got my business domain name registered - with the help of Ebay), I have designed a few scrapbook layouts & scrapbook/card toppers that will be sold on Ebay.  Hopefully they will do well at auction :)

Would you like to see what I have designed so far?  Of course you would lol.
Now just remember, I am new to the stamping, Tilda & Copic scene.. :)

Introducing my First Tilda design :)

~ Princess Tilda ~

I decided to be brave enough & enter my first Tilda design into a few challenges.
You never know unless you give it a go, right :)
Here are the challenges I have entered into.

Crazy Challenge # 18 - Distress It!
Pollycraft Challenge # 47- Ribbon & Bling
Crafty Angels Challenge # 38 - My Favourite Stamp
Cupcake Craft Challenge # 94 - Dazzle Us
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge # 32 - 3 papers, 2 embellishments, 1 image
By The Cute & Girly June Challenge - Something old, new, borrowed or blue (my new stamp :)
Simon Says Stamps Challenge - A recipe
A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge # 107 - Floral Delights
I used this sketch from 2 Sketches 4 U Challenge
sketch # 54

I glitzed up Princess Tilda complete with her Tiara, necklace & gold bracelet :)  I also gave her some buckle beads on her shoes.

I have to admit that I had HEAPS of fun giving Tilda a more colourful life :)
You should have seen Zoe when she saw Tilda.  She loves her as much as I do.  I let Zoe colour a Tilda in with her own texters & whilst she was colouring Zoe looks up at me with a weird look on her face.  I asked her what was wrong & she replied,
"Mum, I'm sure Tilda just winked at me" lol.
I explained to her how Tilda & Edwin are Angels hence why they don't have a mouth & that she probably did wink at her :)  Zoe loved that idea :)

The copics I used are:
Hair - E34, 53, Y21 & Y38
Skin - E00 & scrapbook chalk for her cheeks :)
Attire: R59, 85
(More Copics on order as we speak lol)

Other embellishments I used are flowers, beads, paint, ribbon, stickles
& pop dots to give it more dimension.
I hope you like her.
My Princess Tilda is currently on Ebay up for auction.

Remember I mentioned earlier that I had designed a few layouts too?
Here is one that I did & is currently on Ebay.

Its a Premade 12 x 12" scrapbook layout.
Here are some pics of it.

Anyway, so sorry its such a LONG post but I had to keep you updated lol :)  Next time it will be short...I promise :)

I have to go anyway as my man is hungry & wants his dinner.
Thanks for hanging out with me & will catch up with you soon.
Oh & don't forget to leave a comment.  I can take some helpful & friendly critisism (sp?).
I am new to the stamping & Maggie world after all :)
