Boy Edwin Gift Card Holder

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Australia.
The birds are singing, a dog is barking & there is the sound of a lawnmower whizzing across someone's lawn.  It isn't too hot but the humidity is setting in.  A gorgeous day :)  What is the weather like where you are?

I have been busy creating & designing the last few days.  Now that I have incorporated the Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge on my blog I am finding that I am a lot more motivated to create more designs.  My pins on my Pinterest boards are giving me more ideas & lots of inspiration :)

For example, I created my little design with the help of Michelle's gift card holder tutorial.

To repin the tutorial click here.
Thank you Michelle :)

For those of you who visit my blog on a regular basis (thank you :) you would know that I always colour my stamped images more than once at the same time, just to save time.  Hence why I decided to have baby Edwin be the star on this design too :)

I coloured him with Copics & also used my white Sakura gel pen to add some highlights.

To repin my design click here.

One of the challenges that I am entering this week is to clear out any supply that we have had for a while.  I used the polka dot patterned paper which I have had for quite some time.  I still have a little left, which I will be using on a very near future design, but I have definately used a fair bit of it on little Edwins gift card holder :)

The gift card is actually my Daughter Zoe's lol.  After I created the design & wanted to take photo's of it, I realised that I didn't have a gift card to put into it lol.  I was stressing out when Zoe told me that I could 'borrow' hers lol.  Thanks Zo :)  You are truly wonderful :)

The stars are from a die cut sheet that I have had in my stash for the longest time.  I am so happy that I was able to use them :)

All in all, the gift card holder was extremely easy to make & I totally encourage you to try it :)

Thank you Michelle for the tutorial.  I really appreciate your help.
(I will be sure to contact Michelle to let her know she has been featured on my blog).

WOYWW 184

Hi everyone,
I hope you are having a fabulous Wednesday :)

I found a website called Stamping Ground the other day & on Wednesday's they share What's On Your Workdesk? :)

You basically take a photo of your workdesk on Wednesday & link it up to the Mr Linky so that everyone can come & see how messy or tidy your work desk is lol.

In my case, my work desk is extremely messy to say the least lol.

I have been busy designing a Gift Card Holder which I have finished & will be available in my Dreamtime Designs Etsy Store later today.

I will also be showing you the completed design in another post in just a few hours :)

Have you heard of the new Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge yet?
You can have a look here.  I would love for you to join me :)

Time to get my Daughter out of bed & on her way to school.
I can't believe they break up for the holidays next Wednesday.
Wow.  Where did the year go?

Take care.
Thank you for visiting

The Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge #1

Hi everyone,
Welcome to the first Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge :)

I have only been using Pinterest for a few months but in that time I have created many boards & I have pinned many items :)  Many of which provide inspiration for when I create my designs.

The Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge will enable me to incorporate some of those ideas that interest me, to take them off the board & into my reality.

For my first challenge I used this pin for my inspiration.
Thank you Mae :)

(To re-pin click here).

Mae's design gave me the inspiration to purchase the Magnolia Baby Edwin stamp & also the star dies. Although Mae's design is just simply gorgeous, it was the stars & pennants that encouraged me more to pin to my Pinterest board.

This is what I created.
My baby boy handmade card.

The Copic colours I used are:

Skin: E0000, 000, 00, 11
Hair & boots: E50, 51, 53, 57
Outfit: B02, 93, 95, 97
Crown: Y00, 06, 08, 17

Want to pin the Copic colour combo?

I used many dies for this design & also managed to use some of my Mini Brush Letters from Sticko.  I bought them a long time ago when I first started Scrapbooking so it was great to be able to use them again :)

The newest items that I have added to my supply collection is the Magnolia Doohickey - So Wrapped Lovely die (the heart tag) & also the Star Stack by MFT Die-namics.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the outside.

I had a lot of fun putting this design together :)
(Re-pin this design here).

Thank you Mae for the inspiration :)
I will be sure to contact Mae to thank her & to leave her a link to this post so that she can see how she has inspired me.

Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge

Hi everyone,
Thank you for visiting my blog :)

Do you have a Pinterest account?  How often do you use Pinterest?
I tend to use it quite a lot & have to say that I think I am addicted lol.

In fact, I have gained SO much inspiration in regards to creating my designs.  I realised that the majority of the time, I was actually challenging myself to adopt my pinned item & incorporate it somehow in my next design.

I also realised that I have pinned SO many items that I would love to try my hand at & create that I wondered if I would ever get around to actually doing it.  It also makes me wonder just how many of you feel the same way?

So, I have come up with the idea of having a Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge on a monthly basis.  It would act the same way as a normal challenge but instead of leaving your pins sitting on your board & you thinking 'I will do that one day'... I now challenge you to actually do it, now :)

It might be a DIY or craft project you have been meaning to create, a specific photo sitting idea, a recipe, a vase of specific flowers or even going on a holiday to a certain destination that you have pinned.

Whatever the pin may be, there is a reason for why it is on your board.  What is that reason?  Do you want to create it, write it, bake it etc?  Need the extra push to get you into gear?  Now is your chance.

Welcome to the Dreamtime Pinterest Challenge.

Officially starting on Monday 10th December 2012.

See you then :)

Apprentice Sorcerer Criss Cross Card Keepsake - Wall Decor

Hi again :)
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

My Daughter Zoe had a few friends stay over last night in her tent which she put up in the garden.  Thankfully it wasn't as cold out as it was the last time lol.  I couldn't help her put up the tent this time though as I had a biopsy done on my left hand yesterday, complete with having stitches lol.
So now I have a hand in stitches whilst trying to create my designs lol.  It doesn't help that I am left handed either.  Oh well, life is always a challenge lol.

I have been a Guest Designer at ABC Challenges this month & this is my last design for them.

I just want to say thank you to ABC for having me.  It has been wonderful doing the challenges & a great opportunity.  Thanks so much :)

This month the ABC Challenge is X for Criss Cross.
I had never made a Criss Cross card before so this was definately a challenge for me lol.

I used the same image that I used from my previous design I posted the other day, as I always colour two images at a time.

However I used different DP's this time :)

I also used rhinestones scattered around the design.  A few more buttons from my stash too :)

I found a few star brads & also a star charm in my stash too which I think suit the design quite well :)

Another side view (sorry gotta do this quick as I am due somewhere).

Either my eyesight is playing up on me or this pic is blurry lol.
Sorry about that, I will have to re-do it later.

This design has been added to my

I will be entering this design into the following challenges:

That's all for now.  Make sure you come back soon :)

Lil' Sorcerer Halloween Card Keepsake

Hi again :)
Although it has been pretty quiet here on my blog for the last week (due to Zoe & I sick with the flu) I have still been able to spend some time putting a few designs together :)

The weather here has been warming up quite nicely lately so a few days ago I took my Copics & image out into the garden & sat there in the sun colouring this gorgeous little Sorcerer to life :)

This gorgeous image is from The Paper Shelter.  He was one of three images that I chose when winning one of their challenges about a month or so ago.  He was a pleasure to colour :)

I tried extremely hard not to add any flowers lol.  Instead I got my star stencil out that I have had for donkeys years & put it to good use.  Mental note: Buy a star die - can you recommend one?

I also used my circle punch which has been collecting dust & then got my hands on some buttons from my 'oldies stash'.  I purchased the twine about three months ago & finally got around to using it :)

The DP is from my oldies stash too.  The star DP is from NRN Designs...are they even still around?  The yellow plaid & purple DP's, I wouldn't even have a clue nor would like to guess as they were in my scrap stash.

I have used a few MS punches & have distressed the edges with Ranger Distress Ink - Chipped Sapphire.  The pale yellow ribbon with gold edges are from my oldies stash too.

So what items are new that are on my design? lol  That's a good question lol.  The Little Sorcerer's Apprentice image is & so is the Halloween sentiment ticket which is from Paper Cupcakes (which I also won in a challenge over at There's magic in the air).

I have decorated the inside to co-ordinate with the outside.
I think it all came together quite nicely :)

This adorable little Sorcerer has magically added this design into my

Happy Father's Day Wishes Card Keepsake

Hi everyone :)
Thank you for stopping by & coming to have a browse.
I would also like to thank & welcome all my new followers.  It is nice to know that i'm not 'chatting' to myself lol.

I am extremely excited as I have been asked to be a Guest Designer for ABC Challenges for the month of September.  I am soo thrilled & thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity :)

The next challenge at ABC Challenges is:
W for Wishes.

Well, Father's Day is just around the corner for us in Australia which is on the 2nd September.  So I thought I would create a design to celebrate this wonderful occasion :)

I chose an hAngler & stAngler image to be the spotlight of my design.  I'm not too sure of this cute little boy's name.  Maybe you could enlighten me?  He was such a pleasure to colour :)

This little boy has been out fishing for most of the day & he is obviously very good at it cos' he has brought back a big pail of fish home to his Dad for Father's Day.  Pretty cool hey?  I mean, he couldn't get more lucky if he tried...what with catching a gold fish!! lol

I had a lot of fun putting this design together.
The buttons, spirals, yarn & jute are from my oldies stash.  I was so excited to actually be able to use a whopping ten buttons that have been sitting in my button tray for quite some time :)

The DP is Fancy Pants Designs & the ribbon is from my Really Reasonable Ribbon July Club Assortment (which I get a new & different pack each & every month).  The blue brads are My Minds Eye & was also able to use another four buttons from my oldies stash :)  Woo hoo lol.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the outside of the card keepsake.

I was a bit hesitant with putting flowers on this design due to it being for a man for Father's Day but I think they compliment the design well, don't you?  Besides, the Father should think himself lucky to get flowers on his special day lol.  It's not every day a man gets flowers, right? lol

Oh, did you see the tag?  I forgot to point that out lol.
The Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Tag is a recently purchased gift
to myself :)  What???  .... Well, someone's gotta do it lol.

The sentiment on the tag is computer generated using a free font.

This adorable little boy has fished this design into my
